Installing artificial grass temporarily is an easy process. Follow our simple steps below to ensure you can easily lay the artificial grass as well as pull it up once you’re finished with it.
Before installing the artificial grass, ensure that the surface is clean and smooth by brushing and cleaning the area thoroughly. This will ensure that the surface is perfectly flat and all debris has been removed
Roll out your artificial grass onto the clean area you wish to cover. It is best practice to leave around 50mm of grass on either side of this to trim off. Leave your fake turf to settle for around three hours, which will prevent any wrinkling or creasing.
After leaving it to settle, cut your turf using a sharp Stanley knife and make sure you take particular care to leave a perfect edge! If you don’t have the time for this, it’s ok as we’re only laying the artificial grass for temporary use anyway!
Should you need to make any joins, use our high-quality outdoor tape and glue, following the instructions on the products. Lay the tape and apply the adhesive, before pulling the artificial grass edges together and applying some weight to them. This can be achieved with plant pots, stones or other heavy materials.
When coming to secure your artificial turf, you have a few options. You can loose-lay your grass and weigh down with accessories, such as furniture or plant pots or, for indoor installations, you can use double sided tape which will keep the grass securely in place.
Loose laying is perfectly fine on a temporary basis as our grass is weighty enough that a brief wind is not going to take it flying anywhere.
